I'm Lynn Grigsby, a senior PR professional experienced in leading and executing results-driven programs for technology companies in the Bay Area with both enterprise and consumer audiences. I am passionate about building and sharing a company's story to spotlight how it stands apart, and to project its voice in an increasingly dynamic space.
I’ve spent the last 8 years in both agency and in-house PR and comms roles as well as building a base of freelance clients. My experience ranges from supporting venture-backed startups to fortune 500 brands in a variety of industries including AI, big data, data storage, cybersecurity, API management, healthtech, photography, fintech and fitness. I have a track record of executing against and going beyond KPIs to drive press coverage and build content for company products, campaigns, research, thought leadership and much more.

Senior Marketing Communications Manager, Kong Inc. (API industry). March 2021– February 2023.
Lead the global PR and AR program plus MarComm project management, drove corporate and product PR strategy and oversaw social strategy (through program management and direct report). Key tasks included:
Moving from a supportive role to a lead role for the PR and social program, building and executing against PR plan while managing agencies and my report to meet goals for reaching a developer/leader audience
Increased tier 1 media and analyst meetings by 80% QoQ, met media goals for company’s tier 1 product launches, surpassed media meetings for target events by 50% YoY, drove up corporate social following and engagement up to 10% MoM and established an employee advocacy program
Leading our annual industry benchmark report delivery from end-to-end including formulating the project and creative brief, managing timeline and determining deliverables and owners alongside PR strategy

Managed product PR strategy across the company and lead LATAM PR programs and initiatives in Mexico and Brazil. Key tasks included:
Driving cross-functional product initiatives including external product PR strategy, customer references, media relations, industry awards and messaging tailored to diverse audiences via channel, trade and business media
Identifying opportunities to amplify thought leadership in key verticals and developing and managing contributed content placement across multiple regions in IT, OT and security trade publications
Establishing ongoing communication programs in Brazil, collaborating with local teams in Mexico and Brazil to align on tailored marketing strategy and PR programs and managing local PR agencies to deliver on KPIs

Experience across the majority of business units, including enterprise data center systems and platforms, G-Technology brand prosumer industries as well as client and embedded devices for mobile, gaming, surveillance, automotive and IIoT. Key tasks included:
Proposing, planning, implementing and managing a global Twitch influencer plan approach that met business unit objectives to build authenticity and awareness of the brand within the gaming community
Managing influencer agency relationships and respective SOWs/POs, establishing metrics, ensuring ROI was met and managing each project’s progress meticulously
Project managing and creating collateral for the relaunch of the G-Technology company blog, including video creation, design oversight and SEO
Increasing pageviews from under 1.5k before relaunch to 44k in the first month of relaunch
Ideating, presenting and executing a successful internal employee engagement event for International Day of Peace (United Nations)
Bringing together 70 employees to pack JoyJars® for children with cancer, raised $15,000 for the Jessie Rees Foundation and promoted on social platforms and internal channels
